    CNN is an embarrassment.

Even in our own "reality" based community of Dkos, there was a popular diary on the day of the bombings "examining the evidence" and deciding it smelled like tea. Equally disheartening is that a front pager was a heavy contributor. I'm putting my faith in law enforcement to come up with the evil person who did this and will wait patiently until they build their case. In the meantime, my thoughts are with the victims and their families.

but agree with you -- speculation is speculation, and we do that sort of thing, but mistaking it for "making a case" is a problem. Too much of it on all sides of all of it, IMO.

They're sure they know whodunnit, too, in the tea zone. And I'm sure that suspect is uncannily well suited to their biases and political beliefs.

All any of us have consists of a few scraps and some suspicions based on things that could easily be pure coincidence. For all I know, somebody was irate about their lunchtime chowder not coming with enough oyster crackers.

Yes, I'm joking. But we don't have much "evidence," we have some circumstantial things, some little pieces of info, and sometimes, unfortunately, a whole heck of a lot of assumptions.

This is why there's a whole investigative team going through it all.

      No Information Found on CNN

      The 'nut':

The announcement was the second black eye today for CNN, which earlier in the afternoon recanted all of its reporting dating back to mid-2009.
