  •  Given that these events (0+ / 0-)

are the result of both the federal (OSHA) government and the state government abandoning the town to the tender mercies of private industry: we owe West, and we owe ourselves a fight to regulate workplace safety. Do y'all remember Lightbulb? (sorry this old broad doesnt do 'linky')

    •  Bush as governor disabled regulators (0+ / 0-)

The ideology that Bush promoted was that private industry knew best how to regulate themselves and since it was in their self interest, would do a good job.  Thus, state level regs became voluntary.

Most likely the feds were not given cooperation at the state level.

It is Bush and Perry who bear responsibility.

hope that the idiots who have no constructive and creative solutions but only look to tear down will not win the day.
