  •  And now I find that (11+ / 0-)

despite all the tears I've shed this week, I have more to spill.

You are my brother, my sister.

    •  This week has been so traumatic. I was in tears (17+ / 0-)

last night over Texas. In tears this morning watching the memorial. In tears watching folks sing the anthem at the Bruins game. I have not been like this since 9/11 happened. I just feel like I am on an emotional knife edge. Not much to set me off. I just want this fucking shit to stop.

if a habitat is flooded, the improvement for target fishes increases by an infinite percentage...because a habitat suitability index that is even a tiny fraction of 1 is still infinitely higher than zero, which is the suitability of dry land to fishes.

      •  I just want those we elect to do their jobs. (9+ / 0-)

The primary job of a Congressperson is NOT to be re-elected.

It is NOT to make millions.

The job of a Congressperson is to represent the people who elected them, in good faith, for the common good. For the good of the community. For the good of the country.

For the good of the many, not exclusively for the good of the wealthiest few.

And certainly not for the good of the greedy gun makers and their equally greedy henchmen in the NRA.

If those we elected did their jobs, this would very possibly not be happening tonight.

I'm sick and disgusted with the corruption. With the greed. With the unfeeling, disgusting, greed.

        And cowardice.

I'm sorry. I know at times of tragedy, we should take a break from political statements.

We have taken that break over and over and over. That time has now passed. Until we pass sane national gun control, I will never take a break. I refuse to shut up.

I was agape at the report on Lawrence O'Donnell's show tonight that the NRA over the years has blocked any attempt by Congress to put tracer substances in gunpowder. IN FUCKING GUNPOWDER. So, ammo cannot be traced by law enforcement, either.

The juxtaposition of the greedy, cowardly, calculating dereliction of responsibility yesterday on Capitol Hill and what is happening all around us this week with more and more death and mutilation by guns and bombs is beyond revolting.

        SHAME. DISGUST. REVULSION.

        I am very tired.

          with you.
Fuck congress who think it is their job to do what you so elegantly stated!
Congress should not ge a job where you getbrich by whoring yourself out to bribes from corporations thayvdestroy our ways of life.
Nor should they continue to pass laws making it legal for them to park TRILLIONS in offshore accounts, paying no taxes yet getting refunds.
Nor destroy our planet thru their greed!
My favorite book is Clancy's Executive zorder where a plane crashes in to the Capital killing most of Congress, military chiefs, and justices.
Ryan then has regular people run for Congress and rewrites the tax code so it is fair.
Prayers for the cop who died.

Gitmo is a Concentration Camp. Not a Detention Center. Torture happens at Concentration Camps. Torture happens at Gitmo. How much further will US values fall? Where is YOUR outrage at what the United States does in OUR names?
