    The way they smell on a warm day. I slowly became leery of them living on the west coast. They were pushing out the native trees and they are fuel for fires. You don't need that in Santa Cruz Co., CA.

    In Hawaii, on Maui, I remember seeing an Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus deglupta) with rainbow colored bark. My fifteen year old daughter thought I was nuts to drive across the island to see the trees.

    I have a couple of Didgeridos from Australia made from branches of an Eucalyptus tree.
