    a season. I live in NH and so can only ride about 8 months out of the year. I think my mileage is affected by NH in another way, in that there are few flat places to ride around here.

    As to the empowering part of riding, I am a 57 year old woman who started riding again at 54. It has sure transformed me, and that's a fact.

      1500 is impressive for NH. And I agree on cycling's benefits. Much easier on the joints than running and more fun IMO. Biggest problem is city streets, hills, and sunny midsummer days where you can really bake.
