    In a 54 to 46 vote - In what democratic alternate universe is it acceptable for the 46 to claim victory?

    Someone should ask the super-geniuses over at Politico.

      The thing is, even if we take Kristol at his word (quietly puking to self), and assume that those 46 votes are wholly representative of those Senators' constituencies... they could only be considered the "vox populi" in a messed-up Bizarro World in which a 54/46 majority falls short of the necessary votes for passage.

      I call this Bizarro World.... the "United States Senate."
