  •  reverse it. Rick Santorum or a democrat (5+ / 0-)

who cheated on his wife and is a creepy stalker guy?

Honestly, I have to say I'd still vote for the flawed democrat over some batshit religionist. Or virtually any republican. I guess that makes me a yellow dog. The election is what it is. I can't wish it were someone with better character - that time would be passed. I'd ask: How are they on the issues that matter to me?

now you understand why Sanford will still get votes and why this will be a close race. Though keep in mind that this shouldn't even be remotely close. There are apparently quite a number of republicans who are either not being counted (sitting out) or who are indeed voting for the "liberal". No way should Colbert-Busch be anywhere near Sanford in an R+11 state.

I have many times said I would vote for a convicted criminal Democratic candidate rather than the best Republican.  Has to do with control of congress.   So yes.  Although I think most of the people who vote mindlessly for one party are not thinking of it this way, they just vote always for the same party.

I'm as Democratic as they come, but I'll be damned before I give my vote to a scoundrel.
