    How about

"Yeah. Let's make sure everyone can easily be sold weapons without background checks!"

Seems like the NRA line is we only have to worry about the insane. As if there's anyone in the NRA leadership who is not? Seriously. They're all clinically paranoid.

"NRA. Securing the rights of foreign and domestic terrorists to arm themselves, and form militias against the citizens and police of America!"

    •  Also Timothy McVeigh may have been raised (0+ / 0-)

Catholic but in prison claimed to be an agnostic/atheist.

Ask top al Qaeda leaders about Obama's foreign policy. Wait, you can't. They're dead. -Paul Begala

...but not a real one.  While some media outlets (The Guardian, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, etc.) reported that he claimed to be an agnostic, Mr. McVeigh told TIME Magazine very explicitly that he did believe in God but had some reservations about Catholicism.  This, of course, does not mean that The Guardian and others were misreporting.  Mr. McVeigh may very well have claimed to be an agnostic without actually knowing what the word means.  His own interviews sound as though he's claiming to be a "lapsed Catholic," and there are no shortage of those either.

Missing from the image is Mr. McNichols' co-conspirator, Terry Nichols, a self-proclaimed born-again Christian, which for Mr. Nichols, was the difference between life and death.
