and could not understand us. Social isolation, alienation, perhaps exposure to violence when he was young, and perhaps some degree of sociopathy or narcissism. This would be a potent mix, I should think.

And the older brother was the one reputedly displaying signs of nervousness after the bombing while the younger brother was cool as a cucumber. Wouldn't be the first time a younger brother was the smooth operator, the mastermind.

suggested to me that the older (black cap) was definitely the leader.

Believed his brother knew what they were doing, knew how they were going to get away from the scene safely.

Leader's the one with the most grounds to be worried - his plan, his problem if they have trouble getting away, his long hours spent figuring out what could go wrong when.

Prayers and best wishes to those in Boston, in Texas, and for this week to be over without anything else happening.

yesterday, seems to have run out of blood before running out of wits. Based on the decisions he made, he'd done some thinking about this, enough that he was able to realize his brother had been killed, run over the body, bust through police and police cars, ditch the vehicle, and hide effectively for hours without his brother. Quite the independent operator.

He might have been totally trusting and gullible, but I'm not convinced yet.

When that person is gone, change completely.

He's not stupid, I would have expected a relatively smart 19 yr old to do what he did. Try to get away, listen to tv/media, figure out he needed to hide, and hide in the first decent place. A boat makes sense. Nobody is going to be using it for a while, he could sneak out and try to get stuff, or break into a house when things cool off a little, and its shelter from the elements.

If it had rained that night, and the blood had washed away or wind blown the ladder down, he might have even escaped after a few days.

Where he would have gone, if he survived his wounds, was another story.
