  •  I haven't been racially stereotyped (18+ / 0-)

    to my face, but I have been called a "worthless bastard" as a Buddhist. Also, our monastery was picketed by a pseudo-Christian member of Firefighters for Christ. (Get it? Because they are fighting to keep us from the fires of Hell because meditation is the work of the Devil? Yeah, never mind.) We have also had trouble with Fundamentalist Buddhists. Not making that up. Various kinds exist in five countries that I have specific knowledge of, and no doubt others.

    I'm glad you were able to get help and give a bit of consolation.

      in Buddhist approaches to orthodoxy, tho' it's obvious from stories about intergroup violence in SE Asia that they exist.
