  •  I watched the 3 part Sam Seder interview of (5+ / 0-)

Jeremy Scahill that you provided yesterday. Your diary is replacing PBS News Hour for me.

    Thanks Joe.

    •  that was a pretty good interview... (6+ / 0-)

he's given a bunch of interesting interviews over the last several days with some overlapping material, but that was the most complete one that i could embed here.  the interview that he gave to democracy now was also very good, but they didn't put the whole thing up on youtube.

i'm glad to be able to replace the pbs newshour.  sometimes it's ok, but i've gotten really tired of their relentlessly centrist editorial bent.  there are a lot of issues that i feel that they do a real disservice to by not presenting a spectrum of ideas and all of the underlying facts.

i watched  a number of internet news segments today and do that pretty much every day now, mostly due to joe.

I just watched a news interview of Marcy Wheeler in which she summed up the dodgy case against Awlaki (which never went to court anyway).

As Scahill says, Awlaki said a lot of repulsive, perhaps criminal things but the things they never took it to court, and the things they said in court in the UndieBomber case were pretty dodgy.

This interview was conducted during the National Conference for Media Reform a couple of weeks ago. This reminds me that I'd like to find more interviews and videos from that conference.

in Yemen thanks to the help of the CIA and after that he was completely radicalized. Who wouldn't go mad after that kind of treatment.
