  •  DA Vance dismissed the case against Strauss-Kahn (4+ / 0-)

    because he said that the victim' story kept changing as he peeled away layers of "lies."  So, he couldn't go forward with the case due to doubt, etc.  He claimed to be listening to all sides of the incident before making this decision.

    In this case, we see clear video of the actions, but he's giving police a wiiiiiiide berth to say that their violent actions were justified for either self-defense or situation control reasons (is my guess) - which means that he gave most of his listening, and belief, to the police.

    So, it seems that he is living by two different sets of standards: when police are involved, they seem to get the benefit of the doubt.  When anyone else is involved . . . he claims to be more impartial.
