  •  Scott Walker could have vetoed the bill... (9+ / 0-)

...that authorized the gerrymander of Wisconsin's congressional and state legislative districts, if he thought that something was unethical about the whole redistricting process in Wisconsin. He didn't.

If I were Governor of Wisconsin (never happening, as I intend to move to Wisconsin someday but not to run for public office), irregardless of who controlled the Legislature, unless they sent me a bill creating a redistricting process completely independent of the Legislature, I'd veto any Legislature-approved map.

Forget about John Doe...whoever the Democratic candidate for Governor of Wisconsin in 2014 is should focus on other elements of corruption/cronyism that is rampant in Wisconsin under Walker and his allies, such as this.

    Progressive first, Democrat second

    •  Money (10+ / 0-)

Unless one of these people develops a conscience at this very late date (HA HA) it is likely that money will prevail and some small time flunkies will take a short time in prison with a large cash payout after if they keep their mouth shut. The delay game will go on until Walker and the ringleaders arrange an out to cash in. These people are funded by the Koch brothers and others who can afford all the 'justice' they need. The redistricting will take place at the next scheduled time and will still be ruled by politics and about half of the electorate in Wisconsin vote R no matter what they have done because the media is owned and pay for play works. The next gov. in Wi faces a State government purged of talent and filled with crooked judges and right wing political hacks that define the word corruption. It will take general strikes or some other action that stops political bribes. the politicians that are bought today will stay bought because they are incapable of any other way to make money.
