    But, yeah, he's in trouble.

The Republican side is interesting. Rutherford and Brady at the top makes sense. Rutherford has been running since 2010 and is the safe traditional choice. Brady is almost certainly coasting on 2010 name ID, especially his lead in Chicagoland. His god awful ($3000 in two committees) fundraising is a giant red flag. Plus, he still has the "guy who couldn't beat Quinn of all guys in 2010 of all years" label.

Rauner is getting closer to relevance and I flip flop weekly/daily/hourly on whether he's real or random rich guy. Impressive fundraising, but also some new candidate mistakes. We Ask polled the race back in February (iirc?) where no respondent volunteered his name. With Mike Schrimpf leaving the RGA for Rauner's camp Republicans could have found a diamond in the rough.

Schock seems to be getting boxed out as the downstate, well-financed, establishment choice. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

And Kirk Dillard's time may have passed. Pretty mediocre fundraising for the well-connected 2010 runner-up who has been running since then ($112k Q1), worse his burn rate was stupid-high ($100k spent) leaving him with a paltry $34k CoH. For reference even Brady (without fundraising) has 245k CoH. That's what you get for doing this in today's Republican party.

    IL-10 to IL-07 by way of -09, -17 and -18.
