  •  Recently I was referred to the emergency room (9+ / 0-)

    because my RNP was taking the next day off and wouldn't prescribe an antibiotic over the phone for a UTI.  She wouldn't be available for 5 days.

    Well, a UTI is not an emergency.  I didn't go, did some self treatment like hyper-hydration and cranberries, etc.

    Then I started to call other doctors, found a urologist who could see me in just over 24 hours.

    Suggesting an emergency room visit was just wrong.

    If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever. &
