    is not only prevalent in pre-schooler tantrums.

    It's also widely used by the elderly, like my own mother, who in recent years has taken this up as a battle-cry in opposition to doing anything she doesn't like.

    It's maddening, to have to hear it endlessly, from a grown person.

    I believe it's my biggest problem with conservative, rightwing Republicans. Because most of what they say in opposition to anything liberal or progressive is, basically, "You can't tell me what to do."

    When if we just keep up the status quo on everything, is doing what the conservative prefer - in effect, not making them do anything they don't want to, but making all of the rest of us do something we don't want to (invade other nations, start more wars, increase Military budgets, cut social security nets, etc, etc, etc...).
