  •  I bet this season we'll see Dawn evolve (2+ / 0-)

into a major, major player.  Look what's happened to Peggy, Joanie, and Betty.  Their lives took off in directions that were unimaginable at the end of the stifling '50s.  Sure, Dawn's in the shithouse now with Joan but I think she'll prove her indispensability to SCDP.

And speaking of Joan, does anyone else remember the blatant racism she showed a few seasons ago?  That seems totally gone now.

        •  i thought that was her being bitter... (0+ / 0-)

since she and paul used to go out. I think they mostly hated each other after they broke up, except for when they danced at the office party 1st season, after everyone else passed out.

I think paul was the one who put joan's driver's license up on the bulletin board- he really was a jerk.

you've got me thinking about it differently now-

i'm going to go back and watch that episode w/ joan and paul's girlfriend- it'll give me something to do while i'm waiting for a new episode of mad men.

really and truly embraces diversity but they know there is pressure for hiring African Americans or something like that. I want to see them get to know Dawn for the person  she is and understand her world a little more.
