charges me $85 per year and in exchange I get free two day delivery and some crappy online video.

If I have to start paying state sales tax on every purchase, then I may have to reconsider what I'm doing.

Amazon is amazing. They provide great service and the tax savings offsets the shipping or membership cost.

Come to think about it. I've saved tons of money purchasing from Amazon because I can complete those purchases without ever getting in my car. And, given the price of gas these days, just going to the nearest shopping center is probably more than buying from Amazon.

Since I live in a community of 3000 people, I can either support WalMart or I can buy from Amazon and I'm more and more inclined to buy from Amazon.

with Amazon Prime. My thought is that I easily save more in gas and time by shopping on Amazon for many things.

Unfortunately, the free ebooks only work if you own an Amazon Kindle.

I have an iPod Touch and the Amazon ebooks work just fine, but I have to pay full price in spite of the fact that I have an Amazon Prime membership.
