  •  The lesson is to stop cussing so much... (6+ / 0-)

When you get in the habit of talking crudely like that on a regular basis in your daily life, it is INEVITABLE you will goof and say something offensive in a business meeting/in front of your boss/the classroom/on air.

There is nothing wrong with those words, per se, but training yourself to limit the use of them is a good strategy for professional success.

    •  And you have sources to back your claim? (3+ / 0-)

Part of learning to cuss is to understand when not to. So it is entirely possible to cuss on a regular basis without letting loose in a formal situation. I know plenty of potty mouths who somehow manage to refrain while in church or in front of their grandmothers (even if she has been known to let loose sometimes).

One can also speak crudely without using profanity.

it tends to water down their impact.

I prefer to save them for special occasions, like when I hit my thumb with a hammer.

If the pilot's good, see, I mean if he's reeeally sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low... oh you oughta see it sometime. It's a sight. A big plane like a '52... varrrooom! Its jet exhaust... frying chickens in the barnyard!
