it looks consideraably like nobody gives a rat's *ss, precisely because it IS in Texas, and not the Northeast.

Folks can draw their own conclusions, and many have and will.

at 79842 we got Boston news and West seems like a foot note.
One thing that's been bothering me, that I am having a hard time expressing, is just the way the TV screen looks comparing these events.
The lay preacher in West standing in the dirt, compared to the Cardinal speaking in the Cathedral in Boston.
The beautiful marathon runners in there brightly colored tight athletic clothes, compared to the cowboy hats and dirty carhart jackets and work boots...
The shell shocked dirty face of the West police chief, compared to the Boston chief in his formal uniform surrounded by aides and helpers...
I don't know if that's a "class issue" or what? but it says something to me.
I just can't make out what it is saying.

      •  Hmmm... good point (0+ / 0-)

A bit like sounding out the letters or the words, without getting the whole text's meaning.  Meta-symbolic appearances, or something, in a visual way.

Too abstract for me, perhaps, but maybe an insight to linguistics (which I am still not sure I understand).  "The meduium is the message"?  I dunno.

I have been to visit Boston and this rural Texas here sure doesn't compare well. The people on the streets there are well dresssed and busy, and all of their vehicles are pretty new.
They have close hospitals, access to media and government officials, lots of jobs, I reckon I would be a lot smarter to live up there.
My thoughts about this have little to do with the bombing or the plant explosion I guess, but looking at the TV I couldn't help notice those things.
It has really been bothering me.

but our leaders need to learn hove to have a little "class" and not always embarrass or alienate others such as Rick Peryy and our other office holders.
