or specific twitterers, I would. Embedded tweets are a nuisance, and a break in continuity in nearly every diary in which I have seen them. I, for one, skip over them, and won't rec. comments that consist mostly of tweets.

    •  That is one of the reasons I've been searching.. (0+ / 0-)

..for the small sized, concise little tweet form that Daily Kos staff uses. They're more like a part of a comment that doesn't ovewhelm the comment. Like this screen grab of the smaller version tweet pictured at the bottom

      elfling explains:

The front pagers have a special form that makes our own DK format for tweets.

The reason for this is that the twitter-embedded ones have created some problems for users on certain browsers and devices. When we use the native twitter format on the front page, it breaks the whole site for those users. :-(

Would this smaller version make the tweets less of break in continuity if they were smaller?
They would for me, unless the tweet had a picture that was a neccessary part of the tweet itself, like Senor Unoball's comment shows here
      •  Perhaps for others, not for me. I can't recall (0+ / 0-)

the last time I actually read one, though, for some reason, the cases I see usually include several of them, back to back to back.
