demonstrates my point.  It is by faith that you say that science will at some point understand all that there is in and beyond this universe.  It is by faith that I say it will not.  Science is useful, and those who refuse to accept it are hurting themselves and many others.  But to believe it is all there is, is an act of faith in science, not a provable theory.  My faith is also not provable by science, and I recognize that.

... progress proving science trumps god. As long as we don't kill each other--a possible eventuality that you may view differently than I--humankind will get all the answers. We could work out a graph showing exponential growth in science, and by that I mean growth in knowledge. Religion is flat-lined until the next one comes along. As for the basic questions, including where we come from, what we're made of, what will happen when it all goes away, etc., those have been answered. Some would say that creation of the universe has been answered with the Big Bang Theory.

P.S. I didn't say anything about "beyond this universe." For me, that is not a scientific question. Take care!

I would tip you, but the man took away my tips.
