    if that's even a word, is a very sliding scale. I recently opened the awareness of an acquaintance who made an off hand remark about MSNBC in response to a complaint I had made about Fox, saying essentially that they are the same, and represent two poles. I pointed out that MSNBC has Joe Scarborough, and asked for the Fox equivalent.
    Silence, then an admission that maybe the two networks aren't equal and opposite. That opened the door to several examples of dishonest reporting I keep in my head, and even to  a discussion of the Murdoch scandal in the UK.

    I had another experience with a rabid winger who threw Al=Jazeera at me as a talisman to ward off any critical thought that might have accidentally occurred when nearly the identical exchange took place.
    That last guy is only persuadable the same way a bent nail is persuadable; with a bigger hammer.
