Actuality is Robwrt Costa of National Review:

@robertcostaNRO: A growing question for the House GOP is: how can it do any health care legislation in a conference climate that's all about repeal?

And, doctor, you should know as well as anyone that reflexes serve a good purpose.

and an excuse to not recognize how radical these house Rs are.

            •  Yeah, and sometimes that "critical thinking" is (0+ / 0-)

little more than a crutch to let you justify to yourself that things really are as you wish them to be.

One who rightly points out the biasing influence of NRA money should have no trouble admitting that, between the two of us, there is exactly one partisan.

                  •  heh but here's the thing... (0+ / 0-)

those that position themselves in the middle of the two parties are positioned rightward by House Rs.

If you really want to be in the middle, you have to agree with Dems, the true centrists, which makes you a partisan.

                    Call it Dino's dilemma.

                    •  Nice try, Dem from Ct. (0+ / 0-)

                      No dilemma.

I have never cared about being in the middle.  I would much rather be right them , ummm, right.

                      Or left.
                      Or center.

Makes it hard to stick with any party.

However, when parties start going for top and bottom instead of right and left, give me a call.

PS -- Dems in the center. Thanks.  I needed a good chuckle.

                      •  beltway pundits have the same issue (0+ / 0-)

"the president needs to do x and y and z."

"um, but he's called for all of that. So you agree with him, then?"

"Stop calling me a Democrat! I ]'m non partisan!"

You can run from it but it remains true.
