  •  I'm trying to understand why resistance to such an (0+ / 0-)

immoral policy doesn't gain more traction, even at a progressive website such as this one.
It may be that "taking out terrorists" without risking the lives of American service personnel has wide ranging support among the American people. But so does the Keystone XL pipeline which has been a call to action kind of issue among progressives.
The thing is, global climate change and the environment in general are issues with a large constituency which folks here care deeply about.
The drone policy gets very little press (intentionally), and knowledgeable opponents are few and far between. It's only (relatively) recently that we're getting some sense of the damage this policy is causing, a fact that few Americans are aware of, nor do they seem to care much what goes on half a world away.

None of this means that we shouldn't be acting to at the very least raise awareness of the policy and its consequences, as well as pointing up how dangerous robotic mass killing machines are, and how dangerous they can become.
