    They honestly believe that business does best when it self-regulates and that accidents that happen would not be avoided by more government oversight. They are entitled to that viewpoint. However, US taxpayers are also entitled to say that if you don't want to adhere to reasonable regulations, we are not going to pay when avoidable accidents happen. One of the big reasons why they continue hold this view is that they never suffer the consequences of their worldview. Instead of learning the hard way that leaving it all up to business doesn't work very well, they always get the people of the US to pay for their stupidity. They get to continue to believe that there way works perfectly fine because thanks to the hated Federal government it does work out just fine for them.

      People in West, Texas need help.  Yes, someone will pay the bill, but would we deny or delay help until...an INSURANCE claim gets settled?  No help until then?
