    it will take for them to get the message from their base. The House Republicans live in fear of being tea-party-primaried.

      immigration reform, particularly in the South.  Republican bigots all over the country, however, will be against any bill that takes away a minority for them to despise and blame for current economic problems.

        is it?  Their "leadership" has literally spent decades instructing their followers to fear and hate anything unfamiliar while simultaneously isolating them from exposure to anything new or different.

        "Hope" and "Change" are scorned in that party in the most derisive terms possible.  It's not going to be easy for the leaders to try to steer this ship safely in a new direction now!

          have no intention of trying to steer their ship in a new direction, safely or otherwise, as long as the current direction is profitable for them.
