  •  This is making me uncomfortable (10+ / 0-)

not the posts about him, but jeez Mark Sanford really appears to be going off the deep end.  I know that he thought this was probably a safe seat to hold for the remainder of his political life and its upsetting to him that he is losing it but jeez....

He's a scumbag with delusions.  Not a great combo.

Economics is a social *science*. Can we base future economic decisions on math?

    •  I agree (10+ / 0-)

this is disturbing to see a one-time Governor and potential Congressman unravel this way in public - but what is even more disturbing is that he might actually WIN.  (shudder).

It's really too bad (for his sake, only, certainly not hers) that he isn't married to Jenny anymore, because she seems to be the one who helped him keep himself together.

(She's probably profoundly grateful every day that he is no longer in her life - except when she finds him creeping out of her house, uninvited, at 2 AM).

    •  My straw conversation between Nancy and Mark (1+ / 0-)

Nancy: Hey Mark. You know we've been noticing you've been having a lot of problems lately. You know, maybe you should get away and maybe you should talk about it, maybe you'll feel a lot better.

Mark: Oh nah it's ok you know I'll figure it out, just leave me alone I'll figure it out. You know I'm just working on it by myself.

Nancy: Well you know if you want to talk about it I'll be here you know and you'll probably feel a lot better if you talk about it. So why don't you talk about it?

Mark: No I don't want to I'm okay, I'll figure it out myself.
But they just keep bugging me and they just keep bugging me, and it builds up inside.

      Mark: I'm not crazy!
      You're the one that's crazy!
      You're driving me crazy!
They stuck me in an institution,
Said it was the only solution,
to give me the needed professional help,
to protect me from the enemy — myself
