    She didn't call their actions mainstream, but their opinions. I seem to recall that those are two different things, are they not?

    And their opinions are indeed mainstream in this country, though probably not with their degree of vehemence. I'm not a single-issue voter myself (aside from choice and equality), so I'm not qualified to determine that; but I do generally require a bit more evidence than you do before I label someone a fanatic.

      with you, you had demonstrated yourself to be an honest and fair interlocutor, I would continue this discussion.

      But from past experience, I believe you are simply attempting to draw me into a long, drawn out discussion in which we endlessly debate the same points over and over again, until one or the other of us, or both, wind up insulting the other.  I'm not interested.

      So you can reply as often as you wish.  My general policy with you is no reply.  And I am returning to that now.

      I was going to get into it but got busy at work and now see you handled it very nicely.  Apparently, fanatic is in the eye of the beholder.
