    For the life of me, I cannot remember the first 45 I bought;
    I'd have to go through them and put them in order by copyright date.  But what a trip down memory lane that would be!!

    CD's are wonderful, but there is something about the originals that nothing can touch.  I'm sure I still have a few old 78's that were made of some other material that is no longer made, either!

    You just never know what you're going to trip over on a Friday night around here!

      I no longer remember the first 45 I bought, but I do know I have one 45 (minus the paper cover) of a Beatles song with the Green Apple label.  Long time ago I read/heard the Green Apple label vinyl records were worth money if one still had the original jacket (which I don't).  I don't care.  It's mine, mine all mine!

      Yup.  I have two cases of 45's, too, plus enough LPs that there are too many for the old entertainment stand to hold, so some are in boxes.

      I also have a collection of cassettes and shelves and an entertainment cabinet with storage space inside for my CDs, VHSs, CDs, and DVDs.  I don't think I have any 78s in among those.  If I do, I've forgotten.

      All together, I have a nice little eclectic collection of various kinds of media for different kinds of entertainment and music styles.

      When I'm doing genealogy research I often listen to instrumental music (so words don't mess up my search terms!) on Pandora.  They do have a nice collection of cheerful Celtic music.  I have quite a lot of both Celtic groups and artists plus other music channels selected on Pandora for other listening pleasure, too.

        ( they must have played Frisbee with the dog with?) but Monster Mash survived.  My 1st bought were Snoopy & the Red Barron, next Wendy. My taste improved dramatically shortly after that.

          but like you, I also own a few 45's that I am rueful to admit belong to me!

          Sugar, Sugar
          Yummy, Yummy

          They didn't call it bubblegum music for nothing, I suspect.  But I also own most of the Beatles and a nice collection of classical, including opera.

          My tastes have......mellowed.  But they are still eclectic.
