  •  Very similar here in my northern bit of (16+ / 0-)

    the Southern Plains.  We're about three weeks behind with the springing this year.  I thought that I would finally, finally be able to plant the tender vegetables the next few days, but yesterday's forecast is now for very unseasonably cold weather again for five days starting at the end of April into May.

    I guess I'll wait another week and a half and hope that's the last of the winter sieges.  Hope it misses you and everyone else that's not that close to us.

    The happy news is that we're wet and rainfall is just an inch below average this month.  Not a bad trade-off if the
    temps and moisture hold for a decent length.
