"Barrett's Privateers". It's a great song, but man, that's a lot of lyrics to remember.

One of my favorite memories is from back in the '80s when a group of my friends and I were at a favorite brewpub in Halifax. We noticed a large number of older men in green sports coats. Turned out there were a Welsh men's choir that had just done a concert somewhere in town. After a few pints, we traded them our rendition of "Barrett's" for their rendition of "Men of Harlech", with all the dirty lyrics.

      brewpub would that have been?

There's always time for a little Stan.

My brother and I did Barrett's at my cousin's wedding to a Connecticut Yankee. We told her friends there'd be a quiz afterward, and they were singing along at the end.
