If she even considered how her decision could significantly change the course of history...

I screwed up with a careless uprate so I'm a "No Rate" pariah. When I give a comment "+4 n/t", please consider that a recommend. (That's my workaround to participate here). DK haiku, one complete thought in a title field. Roar louder! NR since 3/7/12.

Was she supposed to see into the future? I'm no fan of hers or the catastrophe this decision wrought upon the the country, but let's be realistic here.

I mean, she's a Republican who apparently wanted to ensure a Republican got the White House. Bush hadn't happened yet.

Somebody has to do something, and it's just incredibly pathetic that it has to be us.

all their calculations, actions, and meme spreading. Clinton was harassed with endless investigations until Starr had a stupid detail he could use for impeachment. I watched this thinking "they want Americans to be fed up and worn out about presidential scandals, investigations, and impeachment especially." I wasn't the only one anticipating the next GOP POTUS would keep escalating the power and flaunting any Constitutional restrictions.

What the GOP leaders sighed with relief on was the statement she didn't make.

"It turned out the election authorities in Florida had done a real good job there of messing it up, so we really didn't need to add to it.
Sandra is the example of one reason why Hilary is not my choice for first POTUS. We got 3 good ones to follow her only because they are appointed by presidents rather than elected by American voters.

Apparently then, O'Connor should have taken into consideration the party she belonged to would keep behaving like they always do and should have miraculously turned into a Democrat and voted to save the country from her own party.

Republicans aren't known for ability to acknowledge their mistakes, and are even less frequently known to put the interests of the country before their own.

with Hillary Clinton?? Seriously?? (incidentally, I think our "first POTUS" was George Washington).

I have no idea what you mean about "3 good ones to follow her" either...not clear what "ones" or who "her" refer to...
