    because Prinny is lumping all Christians together and it is clear from that poll that support for gay marriage is far from uniform among different Christian groups.  

    Aside from that there is still one glaring omission.  Prinny doesn't support the point with anything.

    Frankly I wonder if Prinny lives in the South where white evangelical Christians are more heavily concentrated.  That would skew his/her personal experience.

      Prinny was pretty clearly not lumping all Christians together; he specifically said he was considering only amongst the "devout." But yeah, we would need to find a more exact poll. Again, in the poll you cited my parents would be counted amongst the self-described Roman Catholic; they haven't been to church in years and wouldn't walk down the street to greet the pope, they are not "devout" Catholics.

      Frankly, I wouldn't find it surprising if Prinny's claim was true. Reading the Bible, it is pretty hard to make the case that homosexuality is less than a grave sin. To me, however, that is just further evidence that the Bible is man-made.
