  •  And some of those idiots Republican villages sent (4+ / 0-)

to Washington want to cut the people that give us the numbers.  I cannot tell if "A new GOP bill would prevent the government from collecting economic data" is a malicious attempt to hide numbers good for the devil Obama or whether they are just dumb as a bottle of slugs without a clue as to how things work. Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.) is probably a combination, with his House page touting "Congressman Duncan Introduces Legislation to End Harassing Census Surveys" and his sponsored legislation including " Amendment sought to eliminate the $324,400,000 in funding for the Legal Services Corporation" and " to limit funds authorized to be appropriated by this Act to any institution or organization established by the Convention on the Law of the Sea" with apparently no idea of the unintended consequences of either.

Little consequences, like perhaps courts tossing legitimate cases because defendants were not afforded legal representation or, since that convention on law of the sea, which the GOP steadfastly has kept us from fully implementing, protects U.S. interests in those international waters.

The only foes that threaten America are the enemies at home, and those are ignorance, superstition, and incompetence. [Elbert Hubbard]
