    Unlike these republic governors, though, he did some good stuff for the "little" people. He got a free CTA transit program for seniors and a really good health care program for low-income children. His heart was in the right place in the beginning, I think, but his love of power was simply too strong for him to overcome.

    Now that I think about it, Blago is not a good comparison. Nor would be our former corrupt Dem Governor George Ryan who just got out of jail. He placed a moratorium on executions in Illinois when DNA and other evidence made it apparent that there were too many falsely prosecuted and convicted on death row.  The moratorium was followed by the repeal of the death penalty by our current Gov Pat Quinn.

    I guess to me the difference is that with corrupt Democrats, you at least have a decent chance of getting some good legislation.

    Now that I've said all that, corruption is corruption and has no place in our government.
