    When Obama came into office, it would've taken him all of a day to get rid of the debt ceiling once and for all and end the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy.

    He had a mandate.  the GOP was shell-shocked.

    But instead of passing a few bills with his huge dem majority, he decided to reach out and beg the GOP to work with him.

    That wasted time cost him (and us) so much progress we could've made between 2009-2013.  

    Just terrible.

    I knew it at the time but I figured he deserved a chance to try to build that bipartisan fantasy/fetish he seemed to have.

    What a disaster.

    George W. Bush had no problem ramming through tax cuts in 2001 and 2003 on party line votes.

    If only a dem could act as decisively as a rep, we might actually begin to rebuild this country.
