  •  Yes. And this is the hardest part of using ebooks. (6+ / 0-)
Sharing them is the best way I know to spread the love of books and joy of knowledge with others.
I can't count the times I have had to stop myself from offering to lend a book to a friend because it was digital.

I too, started with public domain books on my first kindle. Somewhere along the way I learned that I just prefer the digital reading experience. It is very subjective, it may have something to do with the adjustable font and lighting, but I have come to the point where I prefer to read e-books over paper ones.

And I am a re-reader. It is not unusual for me to go back and read a book a second or third time. It is like visiting old friends, I hate to part with books, but when I do, they go to the local Friends of the Library for resale.

mr.uintas probably read at max 6 books a year. Now he goes thru them like popcorn. He has ADHD and has been on medication for it for years, I think that was one of the reasons it took him so long to read a book. He would get distracted and off he'd go.

With Kindle his attention is on the screen and he reads so much more. I'm thankful for that and so is he. It makes me wonder if kids who have trouble in school might benefit the same way. Not all kids of course, but those who have problems like mr.u's.
