    1. How will Lynch do in his Congressional district?

    2. Will Lynch win any Boston City Council districts?

    •  So far, he seems to be doing very well (6+ / 0-)

in his congressional district, but tanking basically everywhere else. He's especially getting mauled in the West / Northwest suburbs.

      •  Results from Brookline are miserable for him! (6+ / 0-)

Nearly 10:1 for Markey. This is a pretty strong Markey city, but Lynch needs things to be closer there or the night's gonna be a long one for him.

If trends hold up in Brookline and other Markey strongholds (Cambridge, Sommerville, etc.) come in similarly skewed you can stick a fork in Lynch he's done. Not only are these Markey strongholds, they have proportionally large numbers of ballots to be counted

My city of Newton, right next to Brookline, went 85-15 for Markey.

as are the districts I walked yesterday/today, so I don't know how much my vote or my GOTV efforts may have paid off...

Markey won Boston 53-47. Lynch has such huge pockets of support in parts of Boston that I didn't expect Markey to win the city overall. Your vote and your work were important!

In every election, there are places you want to run up the score, places you want to run even if you can, and places you want to maximize your vote totals, even knowing you'll lose badly. They all count the same in the statewide totals.
