teachers in a district where the admininstration, teachers,  parents, are all very close and get along well.
The parents volunteer a great deal and there is a family atmosphere in the school. It is a very diverse school in terms of student, staff, faculty, and administrators.

Suprisingly, it is in a red state but in a blue region of a deep red state.

But she is very fortunate, most teachers are not in that environment. The downside is she pays for most of her benefits out of pocket and the unions cannot collective bargain so there are paycuts frequently. But she has 30 yrs in and she wants to do one or two more mostly because she just became one of the first female Athletic directors in her red conservative state.  And that is working out so well and giving her extra money plus she tutors kids who cannot attend school due to illness or disability. '

I thought she would retire as soon as she hit the 30 yr mark but she is going for one or two more years as for the most part, she loves it..it is her life..she spends 12 hours a day at school.. ..a second home for her.
