    care - not whether there's an improvement over current condition, but whether the patient is better with care or is worse off if there is no care.  It should be obvious that there will be healthier patients if they have care.  Healthier than they were before they were diagnosed, or compared to some period in the past?  Maybe, but are they worse off?  Not likely.  Are their costs less because their condition is managed?  Probably?  So is it worth it to society?
