    ...because city council and school board races in Texas are non-partisan.  That means it is not always clear what the political affiliation of a candidate for these types of positions may be.

    And in the partisan races (ie, county level), the general rule here is that the more urban areas tend to lean blue, suburbs and rural areas go red.
