      Year 6 of Bill Clinton's presidency:

      Dems gained 5 net seats in the House

      No net gain for either party in the Senate

      Yes, a gain of 5 seats for the Dems is not enough to end Bonehead's reign of error in the House, but given the historical trends of year-6 elections, we ought to be happy with a small net gain.

      We never had 3 wave elections in a row either, with one going in the opposite direction of the other two.  

      We never had the House change hands without the Senate also flipping.  

      History is made to be broken.
