    Here's Tuesday:

    Here's Wednesday:

Last Sunday I planted the two cherries (Montmorency and Bing) and the Elberta Peach.  This weekend, Merry Light has said she's got two volunteer apricots that she's brought from her mountain retreat for my garden so I need to clear out volunteer plums to make room for them.  Then Merry and I may go visit a local nursery so she can get some flowers and so I can get some more tree starter fertilizer.

The pear flowers were just coming out last weekend - I haven't had the heart to go see what shape they're in.  I am wondering if we'll get any fruit this year.  The peach tree may have just given up without flowering, or maybe it managed to hold off this long (I haven't seen flowers on the peach or the plums).  Well, that's what canning, drying and freezing are for - getting us through the lean times.

This weekend I will finally be able to get the sprinklers turned on and this week should finally see the aeration happen.  They've been meaning to get here for the whole month of April but since I've needed them to come on a Wednesday and each one has had snow covering the ground, we've been thwarted in our plans to chew up my turf.

on the pear trees, none observed on the old peach tree and the cherry trees are producing some leaves, at least.

Merry's apricot trees are about 2-3 inches tall and I'm looking forward to putting them in the ground so they can get started growing to the heavens.
