Not sure how much. My money situation changes pretty quickly, seeing as I'm a college student with a part-time job.

But I think that you should include Nick Preservati, as well. The DSCC wants him, and I'd like to see what they see in him, if anything.

and seeing as he will have no name rec I didn't think he'd be worth including at this point. Since Capito isn't a generic R, I want to see how someone who is /not a generic D, like Natalie Tennant does. I can tell you right now Capito probably leads Preservati by at least 10 with a ton of undecideds.

Thanks for pitching in though, hopefully this goes somewhere.

Well, if you only want a few names (which makes sense) - why Gainer? Isn't he going to run against McKinley?

And it's inconceivable to me that Tomblin would run for this seat, so, personally, I'd just ask respondents if they'd vote for Capito or "the Democratic candidate". The Democrat is reasonably likely to be a no-name person like Preservati, so just having that baseline may be the thing to know.

        •  OTOH, optimistic polling (1+ / 0-)

could help Dems land a big name. Sort of doubtful that results would be optimistic though.

come from the "If the 2014 Republican primary for Senate was
between Shelley Moore Capito and a more
conservative challenger, who would you vote
for?" question. This strikes me as the perfect opportunity for Tea Party Republicans.

On a side note, I can donate $10. If it goes well maybe more.
