    I am unable to parse your comment. I am certain that one of us totally misunderstands the other.

    I called it heresy because religions routinely assume that they are in charge of explaining how the universe came to be.

      I am too unreligious to take the religion's assumption that they are "in charge" to explain how the universe came to be, to be anything more that a narrative people can cling to. I guess that makes me a heretic. I don't mean to be disrespectful. Do people take their religion's narrative about how the universe came into being literally? I can't do that. But I respect those who decide to do so, as long as they don't force others to do the same.
