  •  That Bosch Compact mixer (5+ / 0-)

looks interesting. I don't have a lot of room for a stand mixer and that one looks like it might work for me.

As far as lemon squeezers are concerned, I have two that my mother left to me.

I really like the one on the left for when I need to juice one or two lemons/limes. The one on the right is perfect for times when I need to squeeze a bunch.

I've looked for another one like the one sitting on top of the measuring cup, but I have yet to find one. Has anyone out there ever seen one of this particular design before?

has very good reviews on Amazon and I've added it to my shopping list. The small footprint will be ideal for my kitchen.

    •  I've seen that kind, but not recently. (4+ / 0-)

I've got two glass ones that sit atop of measuring cup so the lemon juice drains into it.  There used to be a measuring cup to match.  You prowl antique shops for one of the metal ones.  They do make a hand-held reamer that can juice one or two lemons.  It seems to work well.  You ought to be able to find one at Target or any place you'd get kitchen ware.

works great for small jobs and I love the way the juice goes right into the measuring cup. I don't really need another one. I was just wondering if anyone had ever seen this type before. I suspect it's pretty old. I got it after my mother died and I think it might have belonged to her mother. It's made from aluminum and it's easy to clean.

The rain stopped enough so I was able to run to Target for a few things.  I went by the kitchen gadgets to check. No citrus reamers although OXO and, IIRC, Giada make citrus press type reamers.  You can still find the one piece fool-proof simple reamers at cookware shops.  Most of them seem to be made out of wood.

I got it from my grandma. It's great when you're juicing a bunch!

I've not seen a metal one like the one on the left but I suspect a bit of yard-sailing or flea marketing might turn one up.
