    The districts you're putting together have the same tendency as the GOP to shorten in on urban concentrations and leave the rural districts too big for effective campaigning by somebody who hasn't got a quarter-million or so for gas money.

    LBJ, Lady Bird, Van Cliburn, Ike, Ann Richards, Barbara Jordan, Molly Ivins, Sully Sullenburger, Drew Brees: Texas is NO Bush League!

      Yes, it's unfortunate, but I think a major problem with the current map is using the rural seats to dilute votes in urban/suburban areas in East Texas. I'd rather have a rural COI seat and a suburban COI seat than two districts that are half and half. I'm not really sure how you keep more homogenous districts while reducing their size.
