    as the opening act for Leo Kottke- i think it was at Symphony Hall but i could be wrong.

    He came out on stage wearing a fugly wrinkled brown suit that looked like something pulled out of the bowels of a Goodwill donation box.

    In one front pocket was a bottle of beer, which pulled the jacket crooked, only adding to the general dishevelment.

    Of course, he was mesmerizing and fabulous.

    His later work is so hard and raw but i still listen to 'Heart of Saturday Night'.
