    In both this case and in the Smart case, there is a level of sensationalism.  There is a sick vein of people needing to know every single detail of what happen to these girls/woman.

    I agree with her statement that these woman need privacy and time.  The world does not need to know every sordid detail that went on in that house.  Those details are for a jury and a therapist.

    I am sympathetic as a survivor who had her story published (without consent) in her home newspaper.  There were certain details that I didn't need anyone to know.  And yes, I felt shame and I felt dirty.

    I have since moved on with my life, got justice and a good therapy but I have nothing but empathy for these ladies.
